Preparing for your Session
While you don't have to "do" anything for a Reiki session, below are some helpful pointers that will help you get the best out of your Reiki session.
Please let me know if you:
- Have diabetes
- Have a pacemaker
- Are/could be pregnant
- Have a history of severe depression
Please avoid the following 24 hours before your session:
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Heavy, greasy foods
- High amounts of caffeine (your morning cup is okay, but try not to overdo it)
During your session:
- Please remove all metal jewelry, piercings
- Wear loose, comfortable clothes if you can
- Remove shoes (you can leave your socks on)
After your session:
- Drink lots of water.
- Avoid alcoholic beverages directly after a session.
- Try to get some rest if you feel tired.
It's important to really listen to your body after a session. I advise most of my clients to take it easy and not schedule too many hectic activities after their session. However, some people feel energized from their sessions, and don't feel the need to rest.
